I have played this game for a while, but I still can't find out how to use  REFINE IRON(NORMAL AND BAD).
Please anyone teach me. Also, the "refine" button while crafting what is it for?

refining is done at an alchemist, anywhere in state capital u can find them.

just click on the first option when u talk to alchemist ( the one u buy heavenly scrolls from ) after that look at the bottom panel, u will see a refine button, click on it to go to refining screen, than just click and drop ur desired gears into the large center area, and than click and drop a refine iron onto the refine iron slot.

In addition, there is a spot to place a Peace Emblem (which costs 100 PP? I think).  A Peace Emblem guarantees that you won't lose your equipment after a failed refine.  Bad Refined Iron has a lower success rate compared to normal refined iron.  However, even though normal has a high success rate, there is a chance the refine may not work, making you lose/mess up your eq.

To be on the safe side (and if you have lots of PP), buy the Peace Emblem.  If you don't have the PP like me, only refining with normals is a good practice.
