I want to hold a PVP event.
I will provide the prizes and carlo will oversee the battles and post the rules.

I want to have 3 fighting groups. LVL 80-100,   LVL 60-80,   LVL 40 -60

There will be prizes for first, second, and third place in each group.

GROUP 80-100
first prize----- 50 pp
second prize----- dreamtime hedge
third prize ------ flawed cystal

GROUP 60-79
first prize---- tiger mount
second prize ----- 30 pp
third prize ------ flawed crystal

GROUP 40-59
first prize ---- bear mount
second prize ---- 20 pp
third prize ---- flawed crystal

Carlo5 will post the rules and answer any questions about what you can and cant use in battles.

Carlo and I will not participate, we are only organizing.

I havent done this before so any suggestions would be helpfull.
The event will be held 3 hours before the war on friday.

RULES

1. No interfere in any battle.
2. Each battle will be random and decided by me and grey. (Will be 1 on 1 always).
3. No instant pot.
4. No regeneration pots.
5. Liquid medicines can be used if wanted as they arent really that much of a difference.
6. Can use fortune if wanted.
7. Any broken rule means auto lose.
8. Have fun!

How to participate : Leave ur name in these thread or pm in game Greystalker or me (carlo5), if we answer u will be in.

Kewl idea I like it but a dreamtime hedge is worth more then 50PP, shouldn't that be first prize?

u sure? i told grey it was better the pp than the hedge, if u sure i can tell him to change it tomorrow... but i think the pp is better than the hedge.

well since terry lied to us glad u guys are doing this....but for one fortune should not be allowed....as getting a deadly attack fortune means hurry up n let me win....and liquids should not be used as well... keep it fair as possible

I think using title would be unfair too!
I agree that the PP is better as a price coz when u are lvl 80 you dont need them yet. Ok you can use that later but no need to.
The rules carlo set up are ok. Fortunes are ok too coz they are random. It just means lucky or not - same with equipment.

Whatever we decide for rules we can modify for the next event if most agree.
Maybe even get engy to kick in the prizes .

But to me the point in the pvp challenge would be good training for the only pvp we have in the game, bayer. So I kindof think that anyone I would face in such an event I would want them to be as buffed as they would be in bayer, so that it would be a true indication of what i will face when I fight them on the battlefield. But again its totally up for discussion this is just a thought.

Ok if its about fairness then no fortunes and buffs thats ok.
If its about preparing for bayer then with liquids/buffs/pots and so on but without titles because they often change weekly.
About the experience stuff you mentioned glowpole - its a lvl range of 20 lvls so normally it would be nice if a lvl 60 could have a slightly chance against a lvl 80 guy by having a better fortune.

Video from glowpole would be nice!
It will show how players can organise events when GMs are failing to do that
So at least a GM could manage to give the prices to Grey/carlo5 that they can hand them to the winners.

That's not really a good reason for not allowing fortunes, since luck will still play a factor. A lesser skilled player can still get lucky and win by getting more dodges, getting more critical hits, getting more status-causing hits etc. I would say that allowing fortunes would actually benefit the player with more knowledge of the fortune results, so a ruling of not allowing fortunes would be doing the opposite of what you are trying to achieve.

And I agree to iakul since there has to be a chance for lower chars in the range to beat higher ones which have more def/att/HP/MP ...

If this works out I would like to do this either weekly or biweekly and change the time slot to 8 hours before the war for the next event so all time zones get a chance to participate.

so one week would be 3 hours before war and the next 8 hours before, and then back and forth.

May need to switch to saturdays after this one though. hehe Just in case I get a job.
