I'm 25 level, my major elemental is fire. I've got "Rough Blackshmithing Hammer" - what can I do with it? What materials should I use to compose anything?

It's easy. collect materials, use your skill in the V panel.

Unfortunately that doesn't work as far as my char is concerned. I cannot get items this way from NPCs and booths as wells.

Your V panel shows the living skills now you have.To craft items, press B to pop out the inventory panel. where displays" create". Click it and you will see the panel for you to craft items. Do collect enough raw materials before crafting. The materials can be obtained by killing non-human monsters.
