hi i just started this game so i am newbie i ve read some topics about crafting
but still have some questions...
1) i ll make a fire wizard with minor water.
so basically all my items will have the fire icon on them right ?
2)when i craft if i put mats only from fire mobs wouldn't be better for a fire class?
3)for boots i ve seen some sequences for crafting in a topic M-G-M for example
for fire that means fire-earth-fire so if i put an main element and then the element that
gets promoted from the starting element i ll have better results in my armor ?
4)and finally i ve seen the sequence M-G-M-G-M-BG where bg means being generated so
if my main element is fire the last material in this sequence must be something from wood
cuz it promotes fire??

For the element of equipment... it affects you're over all defense of elements.  What I mean is hit "c" and try equiping and unequiping items with different elements.  You'll see how it affects your element stats.  If you wear all fire equipment, you'll be stronger against metal but weaker against water.  You should see low to negative numbers in the water element with all fire equipment.

If you follow the guides you will get better equipment, green or blue isn't such a big deal but when crafting you want the special light blue stats.  You have a higher chance of getting that stat by following the guides.

I didn't memorize the charts so someone is going to have to answer your last question =p

To number one, I'd say no. If you use all fire equips as Royal says, it will give u better defence against another element, but personally I don't see the relevance unless you are using either a title set or a TQ set that gives you am additional set bonus when using at least 3 items from the same set.

My water/metal assassin uses a mix of items at the moment. some metal, some fire, some wood and some water.

When you do PvP however, it's important that u know your opponents element and can prepare accordingly with regards to their element. If you're fighting me, you would want something that gives you an extra defence against water attacks.

Basically, the elements of the materials you use has nothing to do with your own major or minor elements.

The sequence M-G-M-G-M-BG for a weapon means (taken from Sa7er's guide):

M = The Main element
G = The element generated by the main.
BG = The element that generate the main

So if you use Metal as M, you would have to use:

METAL, WATER, METAL, WATER, METAL, EARTH.

The level and quality of the materials also affects the outcome. For example, using lower lvl of G makes it more likely to get a lightblue bonus, as I understand it.
