The Doctor Refine

The Doctor got new refine skill that allow players to upgrade their crafting materials stats and even their equipements.
1st Talk to the doctor (sun city 407,190) then click on refine

you will see that there are two kind of synthesis :
1- Material Synthesis (Common Synthesis and Special synthesis).
2- Equipmenet Dismantling .

I- Material Synthesis :
This option allows you to upgrade white materials to blue and blue to green
I-1) common synthesis : refines 4 white (or Blue) materials (must be same level and same name , you cant mix different type of materials) to a blue (green) material with upgraded stats

I-2) Special synthesis: refines 1 White material to a blue improved one , for that you need to buy Sublimation stone from pp store (cost 2pps) , put your mat and stone then refine .
Note : special synthesis can only refine white mat to a blue one , you cant refine blue to green using special synthesis for that you need 4 blue mats at common synthesis.


II-Equipmenet Dismantling : it dismantle equips to different stuff, to do that talk to the doctor > click on refine > select "Equipmenet Dismantling" > then put a piece of equipment > click OK.
There are different  results , till now got 3 :
1st : damaged spar of wind means your refine failed and that outcome is useless NPC it.
2nd : general xxx formula : xxx = can be armorcrafting , weaponcrafting... etc ; dont know it use yet.
3rd: spar of wind: supposed to be exchanged for a reward from mister omniscient  at phoenix village but didnt work.
Note: success rate is very low!

About the special synthesis when you use the sublimation stone. it upgrades a mat from white to blue, but if the mat had any dark blue stats you will lose them. Tests with 105 jewel mat from a toad that had + ap against water then upgraded to just plain blue name the dark blue stat disappeard.

after further testing dark blue stats do appear but its luck if u get them or not. i had a blue stat on everyone of the 4 mats an i got 1 dark blue on the blue name mat..

I use 4 plain white mats with no dark blue stats, and get a blue mat with AP against XX + stats. I guess it is a matter of chance that if you can get the dark blue stats or not.

For the (damaged) spar of XXX you get from equipment dismentling, it can be wind, lake, heaven, thunder, fire, water and mountain, which are  so far what I have got.

For the crafting formula from equipment dismentling, it also marked with different levels. You can only apply the formula to the equipment of corresponding levels.

And it seem that the formula cannot be used to refine items made from holy mats.

I dismentled many Lv 80+ items and found that the formula got from the succesful refining can be  Lv.2, Lv. 4 and Lv. 5 formula.

ps. reputation set cannot be dismentled.

  I'm not new in the game but how do i download  current ver. i Ignored That and tried to log in BUT it SAYS "Downloading the Updating Package"....(IT'S VERY SLOW) and when i move the mouse or click somewhere IT MAKES WEIRD NOISE....pls help me (I WANT TO PLAY AGAIN PDO)

Upgrading lower level mats loses some of its purpose if you can't keep the desired blue bonuses.  I've also confirmed that most likely, none of the blue bonuses will go through.  As for getting formulas, dismantling higher quality items (green) has a higher chance of giving formulas and spars.

The spar rewards so far have been magic and exp for me.  The amounts are not that much for players above level 40.  High level spar will give you more exp/magic.

If you want to use formulas on set equipment, you will need the formulas for "suits of armor," which are harder to get.

Spar's are somewhat random and somewhat not. I'm sure there's more to be found out but here's what I have collected so far (more info to add to my site P) ).

Spar of Heaven  = 500 xp
Spar of Lake  = 1,000 xp
Spar of Fire  = 2,000 xp
Spar of Thunder = 4,000 xp
Spar of Wind = 8,000 xp
Spar of Water = 16,000 xp
Spar of Mountain  = 32,000 xp

Spar of Lake  = 100 Major Magic Points
Spar of Thunder  = 400 Major Magic Points

Spar of Earth = 6,400 Major Magic Points

Spar of Heaven  = 10 rep

Spar of Fire  = 800 Gold

As you see there is a couple named twice, I'm not sure why they gave different amounts yet... nut I'll figure it out.

Special 1 = Magic and gold
But reps never got one yet.

Spar of Heaven  = 50 major magic
Spar of Lake  = 100 major magic
Spar of Fire  = 200 major magic

Spar of Wind = 800 major magic
Spar of Water = 1600 major magic
Spar of Mountain  = 3200 major magic

I have come across the same thing.  But I don't think there is only 2 outcomes as sa7er mentioned.  The way it seems, there could be up to 4 or 5 outcomes.  Experience, Gold, Major Magic, Rep. and  Possibly  Minor Magic results.  I am testing as well.  I have not gotten a Rep or minor magic one yet but have gotten the others.  The amounts are as sa7er has said which would be logical considering the higher value stones should result in a larger amount.  Suffice to say, at least we will b able to log the possible results for each spar in this thread so others may see what the possibilities are.
