Herb Gathering & Mining

I don't really see the point of having herb gathering and mining as living skills. It seems pointless to have us level up the gathering skills, then have to also level up the creation skills as well. It seems a bit over the top with things we have to do there. I think Herb Gathering and Mining should no longer be skills and have those creation skills be the only ones. The materials are already leveled so people can't create higher stuff than the creation skill. I hope you guys get what I'm saying i'm really sleepy while typing this
you cant learn all at once, you have to choose between creation , herb or smelt , the skills not realy useless , but leveling them look kinda wast of time , specialy for smelting

well the potion creation skill in very useful but it doesn't need to be combined with a herb gathering skill. But since it has been I think skill progression should be a bit faster. I've been gathering herbs in Sun City all week and I'm still level one on that skill. Whereas in the same time frame I've seen people get level 7 Armorcrafting or Leatherworking. What gives? Dev's and GM's please pay attention to us players. xD

i got you , i think thats because at the new living skills , you have to do it all by yourself , you cant go sleep and leave smelting booth online , thats whats make it harder and takes longer to level up.

I think the gathering skills are fine, and should definitely stay.

But there need to be some changes in this area, to be sure:

1)  It is asinine that you can't learn all living skills at once on one character....fix this.

2)  Speed things up.   Mining and gathering skills are laughably slow leveling.   Even a botter would have problems getting max level in this.  The speed should be on par with the fighting EXP rate.   I can make a lv 90 character faster than I get ANYWHERE useful in mining.  It is horribly unbalanced.

3)  As Sa7er implied, there needs to be a booth for every creation type.
dude I think ur a bit wrong thinkin its dumb u cant learn all living skills... I think if you could, you would think it to be a LOT more stupid... just so u know for lvl 11 weap crafting (dunno if it applies to other lvls of weap crafting) it takes 23k stam to craft 1 thing... you really wanna try to balance 3 other skills on top of that? not such a good idea

If you want to do multiple living/crafting skills, create different characters that focus on one skill.

That's exactly the problem that my suggestion would fix.
i understand what Rishijin is pitching. The simple fix for the stamina problem would be to just have it cost less stamina to make an item Duh! This isn't rocket science. I'd like to see some more thought go into some of these negative responses. Sorry but sometimes some people don't think about every solution
well maybe not so much reducing the amount of stam to craft, but possibly increasing the rate at which you regen stam, cause if ur crafting above the lvl of ur golden hammer... for example Royal has 9 gold hammers 1 silver 1 bronze, if crafting 90+, which for green would require a golden 10 hammer, costs less stam to create, but also gives less prof and blue at best, crafting any weap under lvl 90 takes 23k stam each but can be green and give more prof... faster regen would be nice, but I suppose the cost is ok, it should take a long time to lvl shouldnt be easy an fast just my opinion

No it shouldnt be easy but it should level up at the rate at which the player would be making gear. So by the time  player was level 90 they could be making level 90ish gear. Instead of having to sit around Sun City so ppl can use the booth and help you along. But yea faster regen would rock it took me 4 days to go from 0 to full (90k stam) ugh

this skills are very usefull...  indeed this 2 skills need alot of patience .... my opinion is that not every1 in capable to lvl up this skills... don`t forget... count alot even the axe and cauldron u use ... i do alchemy and i start to be satisfy about the meds it comes out... the single problem that i write even on my posts about this subject is the stamina ...
  to be more explicative from 104k stamina i made 8,2k experience meds creating ...so if u calculate that mean 153 points on 1 med create ... so i`m sure next lvls of alchemy :
1. i`ll not be need to buy from doctor meds or those of pp because i create them, and i`m sure that to high lvl will have no comparation grade
2. the defence and attack meds are realy usefull.... pitty that u don`t like to look forward ... so to finish writing in here : EACH TIME U DO THIS SKILL USE THE RIGHT`S ITEMS AND ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT OF PATIENCE

Yup, it requires patience.  Stamina runs out very quickly at high levels.  Saves time, but takes a long time to reach next level.
