Some general questions...

Some general questions...

Hey...so I am new to the game, started yesterday, level 12 right now.  When I first started, I honestly fell in love with how easy everything was.  Everything was explained clearly, NPC's are easy to find, the Map is a BIG help, the quests are really fun, and it has a good storyline.

Anyways, I am level 12, my character is a level 12 Fire Assassin.  So I did basically every quest I could in the beginning before leaving to that other place, excluding the love quest where you kill 50 wild bulls, and the other quest to kill 10 of those guys before leaving town.  So, I got to the new town, did the quest to pick my state, and I picked Qi.  I did my elemental quest thing, and got my first fire based skill.

So I have Level 2 Tiger Kick or whatever, Level 2 Archery, Level 2 Rainbow, Max Level Dodge, and Level 1 of whatever my new fire based skill is called (the skill you get for free for doing the element quest.)

Okay, now here are my questions:

1.  How do you get new skills for your elements?  Do they drop in my elements fairy training place from the fire based monsters?  Do NPC's sell them?  Do I have to buy them off other players?  I really didn't understand this.

2.  Since I am fire based, what type of weapon and armor stats do I use?  As in, when I create a new weapon, what attributes should I shoot for on the weapon or armor to help me out as a fire based assassin?

3.  How often do you create new weapons and armors?  Is it always better to create your weapons rather then buy them from NPC's?  At level 12, what type of materials should I be using to create my armor, jewelery, and weapons?  Still things like Croc Skins and Bull Fangs?

4.  What do you do once you have gotten out of the original place and to your state?  I checked with the Mister guy to see which quests I could do, so once I am done with those, do I go to the other states and do their quests?  If so, then what after I am done with all those?  Level up more until more quests are opened up?  (I am not saying this is a bad thing, just wondering if this is what I am supposed to do, and get some opinions on what you guys do.)

5.  As said before, my element is fire.  So the way I understand it, is that my fire attack should be stronger on metal monster's?  If so, it really didn't seem that way?  Which type of element monsters should I avoid?

6.  I found that you can use the postplace thing to travel between the states, but if I am in the middle of one of those quests, I can't....are these quests really worth the effort running through that horrendous cave to get to the other cities to finish them?  I am talking about the reward quest things you can sign up for and have to cancel.

------

Okay, that is all I can think of for now, I was playing and I kinda just got stuck on what to do, so if you guys could help me out that would be great.  Any opinions appreciated.

Thanks.

At Level 20 u get a quest called Skill Training, and u get ur next Skill...

I recommend you to use Water armor to lower their damage since u are weak to them.

Question 3) (lazy to copy and paste)

Lvl 20, since till u get there u shouldnt have lots of problems

Question 4)

Find the "join the State" quests, ull have lots of quests there... From Luoyang, go thru 8-arm pass and pick one...

Question 5)

Avoid Water... Yap...

Question 6)

Post that in bug thread, im able to use the posthous manager in timed-reward quests.

1. Fight monsters level 11 and above that are of the element you are weak against.  There is a rare chance that they will drop an appropriate book.

2. Armor that has +DP versus Water, as said above, will help cover up your weakness.

3. You need to increase you Living Skill to at least level 2 before leaving Dongran.  Otherwise, you won't be able to create anything, because everything past Dongran drops level 2 creation items.  NPC's are level 4 for their Living Skills.  There are already players who are above that level in-game, and the higher your living skill level, the better the equipment you will be able to create.

4. For starters, you can do the Citizenship Quest for your state.  Just take it from there completing quests where you can find them.  There are many scattered sidequests all over the place in this game.

5. Avoid water.  Being Fire Element will give you +attack speed and +movement speed.  It will give you automatic weakness to water attacks and resistance to fire attacks.  You must be actually using a fire-type attack to do more damage to the metal-type monsters.  Just because you are attacking, doesn't mean your attack is automatically fire elemental.

6. read the above post.

So I have to fight fire based monsters, to get a chance for a book?  Can I fight them anywhere?  Or does it have to be in that fairy training ground?

I didn't even know what I was doing, and I guess you can only choose ONE living skill?  It's the jewel making one I think, is there anyway to change this?  How do you level a living skill up?

I think I did the quest for citizenship, but I am honestly not sure.  I remember seeing some info about it when I was reading around for quests, and I know I excepted it, but I can't find it on my quest list.  Is there any indication that I completed it?

Thanks so much for the help thus far guys.

---- No, you are fire but you need to fight your weakest element. Fire is weak against water so therefore your weak element is water. You will need to hunt water element for a chance of a book. They can be fought anywhere so long as they are your level or above (if you fight weaker monsters you will notice you only recieve healing items, gold or meat). It can be on any area though not just fairy realm, I found one on the outskirts of my nation city =)

---- I noticed once I went to the main city or my chosen city and talked to the NPC who was of my chosen living skill in your case it will be jewelcrafter there was a option to forget my living skill. So I would assume you would have to choose to forget and then go back to starting villiage and learn a new one but this is an assumption I havnt yet tried it.
---- You level it up by creating items with your hammar through your living skill. Your a jewelcrafter so you will need to collect material to make necklaces or rings with then you will need to select your hammer as weapon and click create on your character inventory screen, then make it as you were shown. Each new item you make will help gain experience toward a leveling up in the craft.

---- On your quest chart you will notice another tab I think quest log or something close to that and it will show you all quests that you have successfully completed so have a scroll through that and it may pop up. If you cant find it there are state quest guides now available in the game FAQ section of this forum, simply click on your chosen state and there will be details on the quest in there which may refresh your memory.

**** I hope I was helpful and not just in confusing =)
