At first ... nobody should feel unsound if I write in a name this is only an example maybe this still applies to many others.

The Game is nice the community is ok (There are a few exceptions always) but there is one thing which dislikes me since the last time.

In my opinion a Moderator should be a reference person which should give an answer to questions which the player have.

At the moment there are 20 Moderators in Forum ... 7 or 8 of them I only know about the topic in each part of the Forum (the Headliner ... Moderators : blablabla) the only thing which the mods do atm is close threads etc. but they can´t give an answer to questions or help someone Ingame. Of course not all mods arent able to help someone this are only impressions from the last two weeks.

I´ve played the german Version over 1 and a half year and I know a lot of this game (I think i know more about the game than most of the mods) and a lot of Players here know as much as me.

Than the Moderators were take to lvl 60 (I think ?!) which is absolutly correct. But until I read the Wolrd Message from Lonewolf I thought it wasn´t right. (sry I forgot taken a screen but i think i´m not the only one who read this)

If a player ask for help in a Quest and a Moderator who was never over lvl 35 before the admin take him to 60, answers with "Sry I would help you but my lvl is to high" and writes this in World Channel. After this I asked myself, is this true? a player who should help others writes only such a f... message? And hours later he needs self help to find the way to different cities (this problem you can solve by self if you will have a look at the worldmap).

This here is not my imagination of a moderator.

I´m only a normal player who takes a look of the situation.

Maybe my english is bad (I´m from germany) but If i talk over a topic i know what I say about and I don´t conjecture aboiut it.

We will see what happened now Maybe the topic will be deleted closed or so ^^

No I haven´t the time to be a mod ^^ but I think a Moderator should have more informations about the game maybe from Admin (engputer etc) because atm a mod is nothing other like a normal player who starts by 0 of course you can´t help someone because you don´t know something ^^

Maybe the moderators should get some more informations about the Gameplay, the Craftigsystem etc.

The forum moderators are here to deal with the message boards - we are not GMs.  We have as much knowledge as the next person about the specifics of the quests unless we have already done them.

In game, we are normal players (although Engputer has trusted us with testing the high level quests before the re-set, it's simply to speed things up).

Our moderator positions are forum only.

As for the suggestion that you wish to become a mod, I believe that you would not be suitable for the job for reasons that will become apparent near the end of CB.

Well, thanks for the feedback then.

Just a sidenote: The mods are here to delete the crap at the moment. In a couple of months they(we?) will know the gameplay better.

I see that you haven´t read the post before

but tell me where in my first post is the wish to be a mod?

I only say that I have a knowledge about the game but nowhere in this is written that i want to be a mod so please read all before you post something ...

Yes, I am sorry, I posted before you responded.

There is no way that anyone could have in depth knowledge of this game - I don't think it's terribly fair to criticise anyone for that.  

If someone is unable to understand how to proceed with a quest then that indicates that the translations are unclear - reporting this issue would probably be the best course of action if it has not been done already.

What you write sounds fairly logical at first glance.
But you have one error in that process and thats that the mods are only forum mods not ingame mods (GM's), like a previous poster already said.

Positive cristisism is always good for everyone to hear, some might not like it because they feel personally attacked by it, but they have to read better to understand your point of view.
(It was not personal to anyone, especially with your thinking error in mind)

I have seen your posts and you do contribute a lot to the game.  Please continue to help us out here!

As other mods have stated some players and mods were given higher lvls in order to fully test the game within a shorter period of time.  To get the game to open beta faster o.o)b
Also mods were given different lvls to test out the different quests.

No worries though.  After open beta everyone including the mods will have to work for their lvls like everyone else.  Everything will be reset.

I myself spent time in dongran helping newbies run the the convict quest and wang er.  I was running around with Ms.Wess, Amor and Paola.  Everyone loves a healer!

Hehe..i hope all mods could play the game a bit and help in newbie forum just like Kazu.
We will also hire more GMs who know the game better to help in forum.

I lvl all mods up for a testing purpose. Sometimes don't be so strick with our mods, sometimes they also need fun...I will release all mods quest testing thread to the public when the time comes. They have the previlage and they also have the responsibiity. Unqualified mods will be demoded.

Kazu, would you like to be a mod in our community to help the players and let us together make this game better?

I couldn't agree more engy.  Kazuma is a valuable asset and knows a lot about the game.  Having him help you out more would greatly benefit the gaming community

Kazu is a criminal, I mean he is wanted dead or alive, seems like for a mod position too. =p

But he did mention he is going on a holiday ;)

Just an FYI.

What that person was asking was if i could help kill the Convict Boss, I said i couldnt help BECAUSE i was level 60 and i would probably kill it by myself. He was not asking for any information, He was asking for help to kill a boss. Either way what others have said before is right, We didnt come here knowing this game. I mean, I knew a fair bit about Eudemons but that was because i played for about 11 Months and had experienced it all. You cant really critsise us now seeing as it's only Closed Beta and this is the only english version of the game.

I can see what you are saying Lonewolf.

It is up to you how much you want to help the newbies.  Personally I have the newbs stay at the top of the hill.  I run down and agro the convict and bring him to the top.
I heal and have the convict attack me.  The newbies can then kill the convict themselves.
As a priest this is fairly easy for me to do.  I can see if you're trying to help as another class it is much harder.

I joined the newbs team, I buff them then kick myself so I don't kill their exp.  Also I am in the area running my priest quests so I am killing two birds with one stone ^.^
I find it so cute then the newbs say "oh no Royal's defense spell has worn off =/ "

Another point there is a limit.  Last night I spent an hour or two helping out the newbs but after a while I can't be thier personal helper.  Later on when I wanted to go to bed a noob got annoyed that I wouldn't help him hunt for crafting items.  I am only human =S

I admit I don't know very much about this game because I didn't get a chance to play it's Chinese counter-part. But I am learning about this game everyday I am on it and when I am asked for help I go and help if I am not busy looking for a bug. So please at least give us some credit for helping out as much as we can while knowing little knowledge about this game and imo... a moderator is a moderator for the forums, we aren't GMs and that is why we are also normal players. >.>;
