We managed to complete this quest by pure luck. First off, you must be level 10.
Go to the Sun City where you can set up market stalls. (this is the city through the only portal on the noob map)
In this city go to 299, 179. There are 2 npc's here, one in white and one in blue .Talk to the one in blue to be sent to the test.or you can finish this quest by paying him 100 gold instead of doing the quest.
In the test, start by killing the porcupines (yellow). Once you get a key (it looks like a rock with a yellow icon on it), go to the top of the map until you see a platform with colored boxes. You must have jump to get over to it. Jump over and click on the green box.
Next go kill the bulls (green). Return once you have a key. After this point, I don't exactly remember which box to click. Choose them until the key disappears, then go kill that color mob until you get the key and then come back. After you have done all the keys, go back to the start of this map and talk to the guy in blue. Choose the second option and you will be sent to the second test.
This test has 5 alters. I do remember the order of the alters. Here's how this works. I'll list the color of the alter and then which number item to click. If there are more than one number, there are more than one selections you need to make.
Yellow 3, 3
Blue 1
Green 3, 1
Red 2
Purple 3, 1
Go the to right and click the white rock.
You'll be transported out of the test. Talk to the guy in blue and you'll manage to chose your element. I'm not sure what option chooses what element, but I managed to pick metal.
