And it would be a good idea to tone down the flashing.  It is a nice effort but it hurts my eyes ...

Glad to see someone said it. Flashing banners are just garish, if anything it needs to be a gradual change of frames which fades in and out, the two tone on/off flashing is hard on the eyes.
